Bike43 Mid - Bosch Performance Line 75Nm

The Bike43 Mid is the extended family version of the Belgian cargo Bike43 — 15 cm longer than the Short, a maximum load capacity of 200 kg, and the ability to accommodate up to 3 children on the rear platform. It shares the same base frame as the Short, allowing it to be easily converted into a Short (and vice versa), but its extra length is intended for larger families or uses that require more payload. In version 75 Nm, the Bosch Performance Line Gen5 600W Smart System motor powers the Bosch PowerTube 540 Wh battery housed in the frame — with an option of 800 Wh for intensive use. The Bosch Purion 200 Smart System includes the anti-theft features of the Smart System: eLock (automatic unlocking via the app), motion alarm, and battery lock.

The transmission is a Shimano Nexus Inter-5E, 5-speed internal hub: no derailleur, no specific maintenance, no risk of derailment under heavy load. The Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic brakes (discs 180mm front and rear) equip the 75 Nm version — the 90 Nm version upgrades to BR-MT420 4 piston 203mm front for superior braking power under maximum load. The SR Suntour Mobie 34 CGO 80mm fork absorbs surface irregularities, and the CST Brooklyn Pro 20×2.44" tyres resist punctures under load. The Mid is compatible with riders up to 186 cm (one size, stem Up & Down adjustable without tools). The three in-house innovations are present: swivelling bench (children's installation like a car door), patented Magic Footbox (first child's feet protected, bike shortened by 15 cm) and automatic bench locking.

In Brussels, the Bike43 Mid is the cargo bike for families with two or three children who have exceeded the capacity of the Short — or for taller parents (over 173 cm) for whom the Short is not suitable. The maximum permissible weight of 200 kg also opens the door to intensive professional uses: deliveries with heavy loads, small volume construction materials, daily rounds.
