6 questions to ask yourself before buying
How many kids, and how old?
A longtail is enough for one or two kids. For more kids or toddlers, a front-loader is more comfortable.
Where will you store it?
Hallway, cellar, bike box, street: measure the space. This is often the deciding factor.
What's your route?
Brussels is hilly. With climbs or heavy loads, go for a powerful motor and a large battery.
Rain and winter?
Check that a rain cover or canopy exists for the model you choose.
How will you protect it?
A cargo bike is an investment: plan for a sturdy chain or a smart lock.
What budget?
Leasing through your employer or financing lets you spread the cost.
