Why offer bike leasing?
- Budget-neutral – in the gross salary exchange formula, the monthly fee is funded from part of the salary.
- 100% deductible – company bike costs are 100% deductible for corporate tax.
- No taxable benefit – for employees who use their bike to commute.
- Combinable with the cycling allowance – up to €0.37 per km tax-free in 2026, capped at €3,700 a year.
- A valued benefit – to attract and retain talent, with fewer parking spaces needed.

- Plan for a possible buy-out at the end of the contract, at no less than 15% of the purchase price
Frequently asked questions
Do your employees have questions? They will find answers on our bike leasing page.
What does bike leasing cost the company?
With gross salary exchange, the cost can be neutral for the employer. If you fund the bike as a benefit, the cost depends on the formula agreed with the leasing partner.
What are the conditions for the bike not to be taxed?
The employee must actually use the bike to commute and be taxed on the basis of flat-rate professional expenses. Accessories must not exceed 20% of the lease cost. Check your situation with your payroll provider.
Are speed pedelecs eligible?
Yes, speed pedelecs fall under the company bike scheme. They must however be registered and insured, and the rider needs an AM or B licence.
Which leasing partner should we choose?
It depends on your company’s size, sector and the services you want. We are happy to explain the differences between our 7 partners.
Can self-employed people benefit too?
Yes, some partners such as Joule and B2Bike also offer bike leasing to self-employed people. The tax treatment differs from employees: talk to your accountant.
