Gross or net: what does your Cyclis bike really cost?
The lease is taken from your gross salary, before social security (13.07%) and income tax. Your net pay therefore only falls by about half the monthly amount. And private use of a company bike is not taxed as a benefit in kind.
Your exact monthly amount is calculated with Cyclis, according to your employer’s contract.

Example: with a gross monthly fee of €150 over 36 months, or €5,400 in total, the net cost is about €2,685 at the 40% rate and €2,434 at the 45% rate.
Indicative examples: social security of 13.07%, marginal tax rate of 40% or 45% plus 7% municipal tax. The actual result depends on your salary, your situation and your employer’s scheme. If your employer pays for the bike in full, with no salary exchange, it costs you nothing.

Your marginal rate is that of the highest bracket your taxable income reaches: up to €16,720 at 25%, up to €29,510 at 40%, up to €51,070 at 45%, above that 50%.
