i:SY, the compact German e-bike
Developed in Germany by the Hartje group, i:SY bikes have a unique format on 20-inch wheels: not a folding bike, not a classic bike, but a compact e-bike designed for the city. A low centre of gravity, wide balloon tyres, Bosch motors and a maintenance-free Gates belt make them comfortable, nimble and easy to live with every day.
A rotating Speedlifter stem, folding pedals and a short format: an i:SY fits easily in a hallway, cellar or lift, and one frame suits almost the whole family.

The Compact is the core model, available with several drivetrains. The XXL follows the same concept for riders up to 2.10 m with a load of up to 180 kg. The carbon Skyfly is the lightest in the range.
Is an i:SY a folding bike?
No. The frame does not fold, but the stem rotates and the pedals fold: the bike becomes very narrow and easy to store.
Why a belt drive?
The Gates belt does not rust, needs no lubrication and lasts a long time: less maintenance and clean clothes.
