Choosing an electric front-loader

After a few minutes of practice, a front-loader rides almost like a regular bike. It carries children, shopping or work equipment, protected from the rain by a cover.

Urban Arrow, Load or Lovens?

The Urban Arrow relies on a large, light, protective foam box. The Riese & Müller Load adds full suspension for comfort on cobbles. The Lovens stands out with its compact box and clean design.

Getting used to it

Steering runs through a rod to the front wheel: the first metres feel odd, then it becomes natural. Our advisers guide you during the test ride.

What really matters

Capacity: number of children, box size and maximum permitted load.
Motor and battery: a motor designed for heavy loads and a battery that suits the length of your trips.
Child safety: bench with seat belts, rain cover and padded box edges.
Brakes and stand: powerful brakes and a stable stand so you can settle the children safely.
Storage: check the width of your door, cellar or garage before you choose.
