Longtail or cargo bike: choosing well

A longtail carries children on the back and keeps the size of a regular bike. A front-loader puts them in a box at the front, in sight, with more room and a rain cover.

Longtail or midtail?

A longtail carries up to two children on the back. The shorter midtail carries one child and is even easier to store.

Two or three wheels?

A two-wheeler is nimble and quick in town. A three-wheeler stands on its own and feels reassuring when stopped, but takes more space.

What really matters

Storage: measure your door, hallway or garage before choosing a format.
Number of children: one, two or three, and for how many more years.
Hills: a Bosch Cargo Line or Performance CX motor for the Brussels hills when loaded.

What budget should you plan?

In this category our bikes range from about €2,999 to €8,999, depending on brand, motor and equipment. Bike leasing and financing let you spread the cost.
